Fifth Grade Teacher
My name is Deanna Barney and this is my third year teaching at Huron Academy. I’ve been a teacher for twelve years. I previously taught second, third, fourth, and fifth grade. I graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelors in Elementary Education. I have a major in Mathematics and a minor in Language Arts. Teaching children is my passion. It is my goal to help students learn, grow, and become problem-solvers.
When I am not teaching, I am usually spending time with my husband and our dog, Gus. We have a boat that we love to spend time on. In my free time, I enjoy PaddleBoarding, shopping, cooking healthy and reading.
